--- title: "Yard Management" canonical: "https://elogate.refined.site/space/BM/121241601/Yard%20Management" format: markdown --- When you already have implemented a yard management system (e.g. gate with licence plate recognition) you can integrate it with an  interface . Yard-Managment can be enabled for each of you r companies you have entered in Elogate (please see Companies ). The usage of the interface is currently limited to companies of type " Location ". When Yard-Management is enabled Elogate will create Yard-Visitors for each shipment that has a transportorder that has been accepted . A Yard-Visitor is created for both processes , pickup and delivery .  A Yard-Visitor can hold the following information: Name : The name of the visitor Licence : The licence number of the visitor Company-Name : The name of the visitor company Mobile phone number : The mobile number of the visitor. Planed arrival date : The date when the Yard-Visitor will arrive on the yard. When the Yard-Visit or is created, Elogate will update the Yard-Visitor with the information coming from supplier before the visitor arrives. (e.g Licence numbers entered by dispatchers, Timewindows booked,...) Setup Please make a short enquiry to our service-desk to enable the module "Yard-Managment" for you, the rest can be done by yourself. When the module is activated you have to go to Companies , search for the comp any/location  you wa nt to enable it an d activate Yard-Management for this company. To do so check the " manage yard " checkbox in the company settings and save the settings. This two steps should allow you to use yard management. Manage your Yards After setup the Yard-Visitor will be generated in your daily business. You can see your yard in the Loading-Plan by activating the yard view   In general the view show you all the Yard-Visitors in columns indicating their actual state. The text-field in the top left corner allows you to filter those entries.  Yard States Each State is represented by a column. Column awaited This column shows you all the visitors that have a planned arrival date for today but haven't arrived yet. Using the filter allows you to search also for visitors planed for other days . Column arrived This column shows all the visitors that have arrived and are waiting to enter the yard. Column entered This column shows all the visitors that have entered the yard and are currently unloading/loading goods. Column left This column shows all the visitors that have left the yard. Search for Yard-Visitors The text-field in the header allows you to filter the Yard-Visitors. The filter works for all fields that might be of relevance when you want to assign a shipment to a Yard-Visitor.  Shipment - Delivery ID, Shipment ID, Elogate ID Company - Name, address-info,customer number Yard-Visitor - Licence, name, company-name, mobile phone number  As soon as you enter your filter values the view will change ( with a delay of 0.5 sec).  When the filter is used you will also see visitors that are not planned for today (for the state awaited). The name and address of the company where the goods picked up. Changing Visitor States Changing the state of a Yard-Visitor can be done by a normal drag and drop operation. When starting the drag operation the available targets will show up. Touching the target with a Yard-Visitor-Panel and releasing the panel will perform the state change . The following state changes are available. Drag From To  Visitor Deliveries Pickups awaited arrived The state is only changed when the licence number is entered . Otherwise you will get a dialog where you can adjust the licence number. The state is then adjusted to arrived . - - arrived entered The state of the visitor is changed to entered . The shipment state is changed to waiting entered left The state of the visitor is changed to left . The shipment state is changed to proof of delivery The shipment state is changed to in delivery Interfaces To embed your system you will need to configure at least two interfaces . Inbound ( YourSystem→ Elogate) We provide a REST endpoint that is available for all our environments that is available via a specific REST-URL . The default config allows you to post XML data of a specific schema. Setup Please create a user in Elogate . You will need this user to issue HTTP-POST request against our interface. The user will only be allowed to post from the IP address entered in the user details. The name of the user will be visible e.g. in the activity stream ( state-changes). URL The URL for the RESTful Webservice consist of the following information. Authentication For authentication purpose please add following parameters to your request. Parameter Name Value email Emailaddress of a valid Elogate user ( IP is validated )  Data The default interfaces is working based on XML data that allows you to interact with Elogate ( change yard state, change visitor information). HTTP SSL We only allow HTTPS request. When you need a certificate you can navigate to the URL with your browser and download the certificates of the whole certificate chain.
